Looks like a really nice setup compared to the one they use on MythBusters! I’ll bet Adam would not hurt his fingers on this one.
Sweet setup.
what kind of plastic is used for forming
and its thickness, where to get it cheaply
Man i have to build my self one of these. Nothing massive like this though. It would save me from having to fibreglass.
sounded like the vac started a little early
Hey Can you make some molds for me my name is Steve Ferris and my number is 978 660 5351
I need something for molding cement slabs 4′x4′ 4” deep with designs
awesome. Why not have a centralized vaccume system so you can do fiber layup anywhere you need it.
beautiful
21 ceramic heaters (aren’t they like 50 bucks a pop?). . . Pneumatic actuators. . . a pretty decent vacuum pump. . looks like you’re up into the Thou$and$!! If this is what you do for werk, what do you do for fun?
ive been looking for a way to make goose decoys, how thick of material can you use? not sure on the typical thickness of a decoy, but just trying to get an idea of what i can work with. great video!
good artefact. -
who u gunna call?
We custom built it using a pneumatic valve and cylinders mounted to welded aluminum standards. Jeff
From Ed, neat vacuum table where did you get the riser system, the up down mechanism?
Jeff good stuff man. I need one of those. Can’t wait to see the show on this.

Where did you buy the ceramic heaters, and how much did they cost?
I love the simplicity and yet functionaility of your machine design.
I will definately be using your model as a guide for my machine.
Thanks for posting.
Is there any construction log of your machine?
