Instructions for a simple face mold using PolyGel-35 Brushable Rubber. I used PG35 for this mold but you could also use one of the 74 series rubbers such as 74-30. If you use 74 series rubbers you will need to thicken the liquid rubber to a paste with either cab-o-sil or polyfiber. As mentioned in the video a plaster lifecast needs to be sealed so that the rubber does not bind in the pores of the plaster. Shellac or Murphy’s soap oil thinned with water work great as sealers. See part 2 for mother mold instructions.
