Flexible props cast with PT Flex fast curing rubber. PT Flex is a series of fast curing rubber products designed for rapid prototyping and other applications where a fast curing, low viscosity rubber is required. I found that PT Flex can also be blended with EZ Flo resin for semi-rigid props. See our video titled “action props” for more information on this process. The mold used was a 70-30 silicone block mold. See our silicone block mold video for mold making information.

EZ Flo 60 is rigid as well as EZ flo clear.
The PT flex 60 is more flexible, what if you want it more rigid? Can you use Easy Flow 60 clear?
Thanks! Good luck with the project!
Ordered up some supplies today, thanks for all you help and patients with all my questions you guys rock!!!
Shows how quick and unobservant I am (haha) thanks!!!
Why BITY Mold Supply of course! Our web store has resins, silicones and calibrated mixing cups. The link is at the end of the video.
Where is a good source to purchase the resin from and other items like mixing cups ect.
Thanks, and great video!!
There are several stiff rubber products that would work for that. 75-80 is stiff, abrasion resistant, and may be pigmented black.
do you make a material that could be used to reproduce gas and brake pedal pads on antique cars? This material looks a little too flexable
Probably not. Most urethanes foam like crazy if poured into an alginate mold.
can u use alginate
It was the reference to Walmart that made me think of Jeff Dunham, he’s a very very talented and highly-viewed ventriloquist here on YT, he tours the USA and has a handful of really funny lil friends. One such friend is Walter.
Keeping on-topic,. . your videos have been very helpful to me, thank you. I’m deciding if I want to go through the added expense to make a custom mould for one-off special ‘form’ I have designed, for my GF.
Huh?
Walmart,. . “Welcome to Walmart – now get your s**t and get out!” – Oh I think Jeff Dunham & Walter are excellent.
Hehe.
Seriously though – thanks for the video, very helpful.
Not sure.
Anyone have an idea as to the type of rubber to use if you’re trying to make an outsole for a shoe?
The casting material had to be poured quickly through a small opening. In order to get the air out as the rubber is poured in a vent is made. This also helped keep the trigger bubble free.
Sorry, I meant like on your other molds (not this one) you have not always included a vent hole, and I was wondering why.
????? There is a vent carved into the mold from the trigger up to the top of the mold with the pour spout.
EZ Flo 60 is a good, tough plastic. Mix it with PT Flex and it becomes semi rigid.
Why didn’t you leave a vent hole one other molds that you have made?
Anyone knows the resin(s) ingredients for hard and durable plastic?
Yes. That is the safe approach.
Try using a cheap airsoft handgun from walmart that you dont care about
Ah, okay. Don’t think I’ll try that with anything expensive then.
