GasserGlass, i have tried brushing pva and also spraying. brushing just leaves a contoured texture on the gelcoat when i pull the part and my spray gun is crap and does the same. do you have any advice in regards to new mould release techniques? as in could i wax it a few extra times to replace the need for pva?? and what happened to all your other videos? they were great, i leanred everything from you! thanks.

2 ply 1-1/2 oz with a layer of CORE MATTE…or 3 ply 1–1/2 with no core matt
I have a quick question! Where do you buy your materials? your fiberglass, resin, gel coat etc etc. If you dont mind sharing.
I mix NOTHING! Spray Gelcoat at 40 to 60 psi sometimes as low as 30 psi if gelcoat is thin…….. I spray gelcoat right out of the can and don’t thin it at all…you should never thin your gelcoat unless its old and lumpy…. for this use acetone……any compressor will work fine as long as it can run constant psi
hi, what size compressor do you use for spraying your gelcoat? and i assume you thin it down, whats best to use for this styrene or acetone, ive read that styrene is best but everyone seems to use acetone instead with mixed results!??
its a mold. he molded the original (or created a unique one) so that one is a lil bigger so the new ones u make using it will be the same size.
oh ok… just got confused from the term “The ORIGINAL”.. so the mold that you used in the video was a mold from the original part.. ok now i got it… tnx!!!!
ITS A SECRET
NOPE……You got it wrong…..The mold is made from the OUTSIDE of a part!…..This making the parts coming out the same size as the original every-time!…… Confusing to some people I know……
am just quite curious.. ive noticed that you created the entire fiberglass mold from the inner side of the original mold.. wouldnt the fiberglass mold come out a li’l smaller?
Ok, tell it then you can kill. Science is everything 4 me. =)
thanks….more vids coming soon!
